Emdeon has programmed, tested, and received third party certification to the extent available for the Final Rule and Final Addenda Claims (837 P, I, D), Remittance (835), Eligibility (270/271), Claim Status (276/277), and Health Services Review (referral request/response) HIPAA transactions.
Emdeon has also programmed to and tested Final and Final Addenda rules.Submitter beta testing for Professional and Institutional 837 transactions began December 2nd, 2002 for Final Addenda format and full HIPAA data content (Final Rule and Draft Addenda previously available).
Companion Guides are available to assist submitters during the transition period from non-compliance to compliance.
Enabled support for machine and human readable 997 Functional Acknowledgements for submitting customers.
Consolidated health plan and clearinghouse reporting is available.
Legacy Formats
Emdeon will continue support for legacy transaction formats, and have published enhanced versions for our direct submitting Channel Partners and Providers to allow natural extensions of these formats to accommodate HIPAA data content requirements for most, but not all, claim situations.
