Benefits
Emdeon is committed to providing a benefits program that support employee needs and promote balance and healthy living. Our new employees can begin enjoying their benefits immediately. And even though healthcare costs are rising, we do everything we can to make sure your costs stay down and quality stays up. Emdeon also gives you choice of health and dental plans and other optional benefits so that you can determine the balance of cost and coverage that's right for you. And if you need help deciding, there are robust and secure online tools available to assist you.
Medical
Emdeon offers two types of medical plans as well as a Health Savings Account (HSA) plan that includes an employer deposit (up to a defined maximum) into the account.
In addition, employees have full access to Health Management Resources toolbox. There are helpful provider cost/quality comparison tools, confidential online health assessment and recordkeeping, and condition and wellness resources including Well Aware for Better Health, which is a voluntary program designed to assist our employees in managing chronic health conditions. Some of this program's benefits include: personal telephone support and coaching from a health specialist; educational resources, assistance with planning and tracking personal health initiatives, and more.
Dental
Two dental plans, administered by Preferred Dental Organizations (PDOs), are available. Both have in and out of network benefits.
Vision
The Vision Plan covers a variety of vision care services plus discounts on other services.
Insurance and Income Protection
Emdeon provides Basic Life AD&D insurance, Short Term Disability (STD) and Long Term Disability (LTD) benefits, and Business Travel Accident Insurance. Supplemental Life Insurance and Long Term Disability Insurance is also available.
Domestic Partner Benefits
Emdeon offers employees benefits coverage, including supplemental life insurance, for same-sex or opposite-sex partners.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)
The Emdeon Flexible Spending Accounts include the Healthcare FSA and the Dependent Care FSA. These are separate flexible spending accounts that can help save money on taxes (State, Federal, and Social Security) by allowing participants to pay for certain expenses with set aside, pre-tax dollars.
401(k) Plan
Emdeon offers its employees immediate participation in the 401(k) plan with an employer match. Working with Fidelity Investments, you can identify from the multiple fund options available those that best suit your investment style.
Legal Assistance
Through Hyatt Legal Plans, Inc. employees have access to affordable, pre-paid legal services. There are a number of covered services as well as free telephone advice. Additional discounts may be available for services not specifically covered by the plan.
Educational Assistance
Emdeon reimburses employees for tuition expenses related to coursework in a degree program at an accredited college/university.*
Emdeon also offers a wide range of online and on-site professional and technical training and development programs.
Adoption Assistance
Expenses paid related to adoption are reimbursable under this plan.*
Employee and Family Resources Program
Like an "EAP" (Employee Assistance Plan), this program provides employees and their family members with a wide range of services, including such things as referrals for educational resources, family member care, veterinary care, financial planning, mental health support, and more.
Paid Time Off
Emdeon provides employees with a generous vacation, sick time, and holiday time off package as well as additional Charitable Contribution Days. Emdeon encourages its employees to support volunteerism and offers full pay for time off spent serving community/charitable organizations.*
Other Benefits
Employee Discounts: Many Emdeon locations offer local discounts to its employees, but all employees receive discounts with certain cell phone providers and a national vendor network providing discounts for retailers, hotels, automotive dealers and maintenance providers, restaurants, air fare, concerts and events, and much more.
24-Hour Health Information Line: Employees may use this just-in-time support line for health questions and issues.
Employee Referral Program: Emdeon rewards employees for referring candidates hired onto "Team Emdeon" as Part-Time or Full-Time employees or even as in-house sourced Contractors.
Emdeon All Stars Employee Recognition Program: Through this program employees can be recognized and rewarded for outstanding contributions.
