FAQs

How do I apply for a position I have seen on the website?

Click the "Apply Online" option at the bottom of the job description page for that specific position.

What do I do if I'm having trouble submitting my resume online?

If you are having technical difficulties submitting your resume through our careers site, you may contact jobs@emdeon.com. If possible, please include details about the error you receive.

Do I have to be a U.S. citizen in order to work for Emdeon?

It depends on the job requirements. Emdeon has some governmental contracts requiring only U.S. citizens to perform the work. For all other positions, Emdeon hires persons legally authorized to work in the U.S. without regard to citizenship status. For some positions within the Company, Emdeon may provide work visa sponsorship dependent on a number of factors, including length of service.

I know the type of position I want but don't see such opening on your website. Can I submit my resume anyway?

You may register on our site and upload your resume by selecting "Submit Your Resume." New opportunities are published often, so for highest visibility to our staffing team we encourage you to check back and apply directly to an advertised position. Please keep in mind that in order to be considered as a candidate you must complete an application for each open position in which you are interested in applying.

Do I have to complete an online application even if Emdeon already has my resume?

It's important that all candidates apply directly through our careers site for each position we may discuss with you. That way you and Emdeon have a record of your application and interest, for the future. Also note that once you have completed an online profile/application you do not have to re-enter your information every time you apply for a new position. You can simply log back into your profile on the website using the email address and password you initially provided.

How do I get feedback on my online application submission?

Due to the high volume of applicants, we are only able to respond directly to those we feel are most qualified.

How do I get feedback after an interview? What is the timeframe involved with the hiring process?

Your recruiter will respond with feedback about the result of your interview, as soon as it is available. The timeframe varies depending on the actual role, so your recruiter can advise you about the expected response time. It is generally acceptable to follow up a week after an interview if you have not received a response.

Interviewing Tips

Emdeon uses a blend of knowledge/skills assessment and behavior-based interviewing to draw out candidates' proficiency within certain core competencies, such as: Drive to Win, Communication, Teamwork, Relationship Building, Flexibility/Adaptability, and Problem Solving. Make sure you are prepared to provide specific examples of experiences where you exhibited these competencies.

What if a current Emdeon employee referred me?

Please select "Employee Referral" as your source when asked about how you found out about the position. This will be the last question during the online application process.

I have received a direct e-mail regarding an available opportunity or offer of employment and a request for some personal information. Is this normal procedure?
